At Precisometer, we're developing RheoScope—an automated viscosity & microrheology measurement platform based on optical tweezers—alongside the Finder 930 confocal Raman spectroscopy system. We work at the intersection of optics, instrumentation, automation, and real-world applications (from materials to food and beyond).
Open Position
4–6 months
You'll contribute directly to turning a research-grade concept into a robust, automated device. Depending on your background, your internship can focus more on optics/physics, mechanical design, chemistry/materials, automation—or a mix.
Develop and improve prototype subsystems (optical, mechanical, experimental)
Build and refine automated measurement workflows
Run experiments, analyze results, and iterate on the design
Help validate performance across different sample types (e.g., complex fluids, gels, emulsions)
We welcome students with a background in:
If you enjoy hands-on lab work, building things that actually work, and learning fast in a small team, you'll fit right in.
Daily supervision and direct feedback
A hands-on startup experience with real impact on the product
A chance to join a super exciting long-term project in the future
